Timberline Lodge - lunar new year vacation, January 2010

Ailey is really enjoying skiing and making rapid progress so we snuck up to Timberline to enjoy the incredible historic landmark and get Ailey some more lessons. Her first instructor labeled her "a little ripper".

The incredible Timberline Lodge.

Monstrous ice cycles from outside the hotel window.

Hot tubbing in the snow.

It was a challenge to keep up with "the little ripper". I took some video of her screaming down the mountain but its too shaky to upload as I couldnt keep pace.

Ailey's second instructor taught her how to ski on one ski.

Leofoo Amusement Park, Taoyuan - Dec 2009

A couple vids I forgot to download off my blackberry for the previous post.

Ailey rode pretty much everything she was tall enough to ride including this circular contraption that looped you completely upsidedown. I firmly believe that my tossing her toward the ceiling over the couch when she was an infant has made her really enjoy these types of rides.

The park also had these interesting do-it-yourself cotton candy machines. Quite interesting and fun. A lot more difficult than the masters make it look...

Christmas 2009

Ailey's best friend from Korea, Jeni came to visit for a week to celebrate Christmas with us.

We had plans to go to the national museum and see Taipei 101 but those plans got vetoed by the girls in favor of the Taipei Zoo.

Lunch at the world famous Din Tai Fong for Chinese dumplings. Mmmmmmm....

Farewell hugs at the airport...Ailey never likes to say goodbye.
