The HongKong Star Ferry and the Peak - April 2009

HongKong Ocean Park - March 2009

Ailey loves the Viking Ship ride...

Crazy cliffside roller coaster Ailey rode at least 5 times.

HongKong Disneyland, take 2 - March 2009

Autopia was a strange attraction. Longest line of anywhere in Disneyland...to drive a miserable little car with extremely limited steering and speed control. Must have been made in America.

Ailey makes her dad hurl on the teacups...

Space Mountain!

The silly pictures at the end became more fun than the ride...

After seven tours of Space Mountain, we became so bored with the ride that Ailey fell asleep.

We happened upon this crazy zoetrope that blew me away. So tuff...
HongKong Rugby Sevens - March 2009

After 10+ years of contuniuous attendance followed by a 10 year absence, we return to the Sevens. Unfortunately, no one under 18 is now allowed in the south stands so Ailey did not enjoy the full experience of the pie man, beer wenches, aerial malted beverages, standing up if you hate the French and the occasional bare breasted lass. But she did get to see some rugby...and the Kenyans came to play, defeating the Kiwis in the quarters.

Your typical Sevens fan - gaga over rugby!

Off for another beverage and a quick south stand visit with Parfait Pete.

Piano showdown - February '09

Ailey played in a piano contest today but failed to understand that some practice is required to compete. For as little as she works at it, she does quite well. From my perspective, so long as she's filling her noggin with an understanding of music, I'm happy. She doesnt have the temperment for a concert pianist anyway. Jazz pianist, maybe but that fire will come later.
