Daddy really wanted a family ski vacation in celebration of his 50th birthday and everything was tracking perfectly until the Fukushima nuclear accident. After weeks of hemming and hawing and watching the events unfold, we finally decided it was safe enough to spend the week upwind of the plant and twice as far from the site as Tokyo.
